Former Lady Unicorn soccer player Dana Hanson was selected to attend the NCAA Career in Sports Forum at the NCAA Headquarters in Indianapolis from May 30-June 2.

Hanson, graduated from New Braunfels High School and is currently on the women’s soccer team at Sam Houston State University. She was selected to attend the annual education program that aims to help college athletes chart their career paths. She was one of 200 NCAA student-athletes selected who were provided the opportunity to learn about potential careers in sports.

Those selected were nominated by their school or conference and were required to be a third year, fourth year, fifth year or graduate student-athlete.

At Sam Houston State, Hanson has started every game since her sophomore season and additionally she started five games as a freshman. She also has been named to the Conference USA All-Academic team.
