The New Braunfels High School women’s golf teams have made history by clinching both first and second place at the District 27-6A Golf Tournament. This achievement marks the first time in school history that 10 Lady Unicorns will advance to the Regional  Tournament.

The district event was held at the Landa Park Golf Course on Tuesday, March 26.

The play of Kate Windrow, Zoe Shuttlesworth, Emilie Gallaher, Hattie Tippens, and Rebecca Calles, secured the district championship for NBHS. Additionally, Ava Martinez, Averly Baker, Kate Fuller, Katie Haag, and London Fouts followed just behind with a second-place finish.

Individually, Senior Kate Windrow emerged as the district tournament champion, Zoe Shuttlesworth placed second and Emilie Gallaher claimed third at the district event.

Looking ahead, the NBHS women’s golf team will be well represented at the regional tournament. The regional competition will take place at the Golf Club of Texas at Briggs Ranch in San Antonio on April 17th and 18th.
