New Braunfels High School students competed at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo Ag Mechanics show from February 23-25.

The Agricultural Mechanics show encourages, recognizes, facilitates, and rewards the learning and development of skills through the design, construction, and exhibition of agricultural projects and/or Tractor Restoration. These contests showcase the outstanding leadership, technical abilities, and accomplishments of our Texas youth.

21ft Solar Trailer

The collaborative effort of Cody Weige, Evan Barrett, Trevor Rogers, and Blake Doege, the 21ft Solar Trailer, brought home three awards from San Antonio. The Karl Russel Innovation Award , the Reserve Division Champion title and 2nd place in Class 904.

The team’s dedication and innovation paid off, earning them well-deserved recognition from the judging panel.

22ft Hydraulic Dump Trailer

Another standout entry at the event was Brendan Cox and Dillon Horadam’s 22ft Hydraulic Dump Trailer. Their trailer impressed judges and secured them a 2nd place finish in Class 1103.

Cox and Horadam’s commitment to excellence resulted in a well-deserved acknowledgment of their hard work and dedication to crafting an outstanding trailer.

2×4 Pig Photo Booth

Another award for the NBHS crew went to Helen Dudley’s 2×4 Pig Photo Booth excelled and exceeded judges expectation, earning her a Blue Ribbon award.

Congratulations to all of these students and all how participated in the events at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo.

These students are in the NBISD FFA, which is a dynamic youth organization that makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.
