NBISD teachers were surprised with big checks as the NBISD Education Foundation held its annual Grant Awards Parade on Friday, May 10.

Members of the NBISD Education Foundation awarded 21 grants totaling $65,634.90. The parade group, including Education Foundation members, school board members and staff visited nine NBISD campuses to surprise teachers with grants they had applied for earlier in the semester.

“Our teachers deserve our support and appreciation, and as an education foundation, it’s our goal to ensure that NBISD teachers have as many resources as possible to thrive and to educate our students every day,” said NBISD Education Foundation Executive Director Reagan Parks.
