New Braunfels ISD invites Pre-k and Kinder parents to register their students for the upcoming 2024-25 school year at the first annual Pre-k and Kinder Enrollment Fair.

The event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on March 18, 2024, at New Braunfels Middle School, which is located at 608 Settlers Crossing, New Braunfels, TX 78130.

Please bring the following documents with you to the Enrollment Fair:

• Parent Identification (TX Driver License, ID, or Passport)
• Government-issued Birth Certificate of Child (Kindergarteners must be age 5 as of September 1, 2024/Pre-Kindergarteners must be 4 as of September 1, 2024)
• Child’s Social Security Card, if available
• Immunization Record (must be up-to-date)
• Proof of Residency (Dated no later than 30 days: current utility or gas bill, lease agreement, or mortgage statement)

For parents enrolling PreK students will need to bring one of the following for Proof of Income:

• Current Pay Stub
• Tax Return
• Employer Letter

NBISD staff will be on-site during the fair to assist parents in completing the enrollment process.

During the enrollment fair, the NBISD Health Services Department will also be hosting a Vaccine Clinic. They will be offering $10 vaccinations on-site to ensure your child has all the necessary vaccines for the upcoming school year. Parents are required to complete the Student Multiple Vaccine Consent Form in either English or Spanish, as well as the ImmTrac2 Minor Consent Form, available in both English and Spanish.

Additionally, NBISD is extending an invitation to families interested in learning more about Lone Star Early Childhood Center, as the host of Pre-K Previews this spring. This event will allow prospective students to explore classrooms, while parents engage with the campus leadership team and tour the school premises.

To meet eligibility for the pre-kindergarten 4 year old program, a student must qualify for at least one (1) of the following criteria OR they can pay tuition:

• Child is unable to speak and comprehend the English Language
• Child is homeless
• Child is economically disadvantaged (income based)
• Child has a parent serving on active duty in the armed forces, including a child of a member injured or killed on active duty
• Child is or ever has been in the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS)
• Child has a parent who is eligible for the Star of Texas Award

Tuition Based Enrollment
There is not a tuition cost for those that qualify for Pre-K under State Pre-K guidelines, however if your child does not qualify on the criteria above you may pay tuition. Tuition spots are available in the 4-year-old program for students that reside in NBISD, but do not meet the eligibility criteria. The cost to enroll includes a $150 deposit per child (applicable to 1st-month tuition) and $550 monthly tuition per child. NBISD Employee rate is $450/month per child with payroll deduction.
