Oak Run Middle School Library Media Specialist and NBISD secondary library lead Amanda Hunt was a keynote speaker at the New Hampshire School Library Media Association (NHSLMA) Conference on Friday, March 29. The conference was held in Concord, New Hampshire.

Hunt’s address was titled Let’s Grow Together, in which attendees will hear about ways to collaborate between public and school libraries, as well as ideas for programming, increasing your Professional Learning Network and using social media to help accomplish your goals.

The NHSLMA is a professional organization representing school library media professionals and paraprofessionals. We are an affiliate of the American Association of School Librarians and the New England School Library Association. We provide our members with a forum for the exchange of ideas and with opportunities for professional growth through publications, conferences, and staff development workshops.

“I enjoy presenting in my district, as well as state and national conferences,” Hunt said. “I love sharing about what’s new in the library world, reading and meeting authors, as well as sharing my passion for literature with others.”
