New Braunfels High School student Hayley Johnston provided some holiday spirit early this year. Hayley entered an ornament contest and her design was selected to be displayed at the Capitol.

Every year, a Christmas tree is displayed in the House Chamber from December 1, 2023 through January 2, 2024. Each member of the Legislature is given a plain glass ornament to decorate and hang on the tree at the Texas State Capitol.
