The annual River City Classic boys basketball tournament is scheduled to be held in New Braunfels Dec. 7 through 9.

The tournament is jointly hosted by New Braunfels and Canyon high schools and 15 teams from across the state will compete, including nationally ranked Round Rock Stony Point. This year’s tournament will have games played at both campuses, however Canyon will host most of the games due to ongoing construction at NBHS. Comal ISD gyms are clear bag only and the only passes accepted for these games will be senior citizen passes.

The Unicorns are heading into the classic with an undefeated record of 13-0 and will get underway at Canyon at 12 p.m. on Dec. 7 against Southwest followed by a home game at 7 p.m. tip against Lake Country Christian School (Fort Worth). The Unicorns’ second game will be played at Canyon on Friday, Dec. 8, at 1:30 p.m. Depending on wins and losses, New Braunfels will face either Madison or O’Conner.

Additionally, the Unicorns will play Friday evening and on Saturday. A full tournament bracket can be found here.
