The New Braunfels High School Baseball team showcased their dominance in the bi-district round of the playoffs by sweeping the Churchill Chargers.

The Unicorns went on the road to defeat the Chargers in game 1 by a score of 16-3. The Unicorns kept the momentum going in game 2 with a 10-0 win at home to wrap up the best of 3 series. Senior Luke Holt was honored as the Express-News’ Player of the week after going 7-8 at the plate with three doubles, six RBIs and two stolen bases. He also pitched, striking out three and not allowing any runs scored.

The win earns the Unicorns a bi-district championship and a spot in the area round. New Braunfels is slated to play Dripping Springs in the area championship with the winner moving on to the regional quarterfinals.
