New Braunfels ISD middle school and high school students are invited to apply for a new Youth Advisory Council.

The Youth Advisory Council is on the lookout for students from 6th to 11th grade to join its ranks. This is an opportunity to be a part of a dynamic group that meets monthly to discuss and implement positive changes for New Braunfels teens.

There is no cost for the students who are selected to serve on the council. The deadline to submit an application is March 8, 2024.

The goals for the Youth Advisory Council are to:

• Identify concerns and issues for teens in the New Braunfels area
• Help develop programs and activities for the new Mill Street Youth Center (opening Spring 2025)
• Provide input on initiatives for middle school and high school students
• Have fun and participate in special Youth Advisory Council outings such as hiking, college visits, career exploration, amusement parks, community events and more
